Canon EOS 30D Body Only Digital Camera - The most important change to the 30D is the addition of a spot meter. Previous models offered a partial metering mode that read the middle 9 percent of the viewfinder, but the spot meter capably reads the middle 3.5 percent. The evaluative and center-weight averaging metering modes remain available as well.
